Restore
to be placed on the BAC list...
The
Sport and Remedial Therapies Council SRTC, which ISRM is part
of, has become an official benefit provider to the British Athletics
Commission (BAC) to provide sports massage therapy to their athletes.
They recognise how vitally important it is that these athletes
get the treatment they need to help them recover from training
and prevent injury and they are equally concerned that they get
only the best quality treatment.
The
BAC represents over 3000 Olympic, Paralympic and World Class funded
elite athletes. Their membership includes those expected to bring
in medals; those recognised as development athletes; and those
in the Talented Athletes Sponsorship Scheme (TASS) who are college
and university students showing potential and receiving little
to no funding. BAC also represents over 1000 retired athletes.
Paul
Martin of Restore Sports Massage is registered with the ISRM and
is to be placed on the BAC list to help in the delivery of top
quality treatment to some of our finest athletes. Watch this space

GARDENING
- Watch your back!

Gardening is hard labour. Especially this time of year. So
before you get stuck into those flower beds and vegetable
patches why not take time to think about your health. Poor
digging technique can be brutal on your back while hours spent
in the garden day in and day out can really mount up. Elderly
gardeners are perhaps more in need of a good monthly Sports
Massage treatment than many young amateur athletes! Regular
treatment may help you to avoid pain and stiffness from over
working yourself and keep you limber and flexible for all
that bending over. Why not talk to your therapist about good
digging and lifting technique, or posture?
Dont
wait until you put your back out.
Book in now for regular Sports Massage (discounts
available for OAP's or block bookings).
URGENT
DONATIONS REQUIRED

Paul Martin of Restore Sports Massage will be traveling to Pokhara
in Nepal summer 2010 to help train blind students in the art
and science of professional Sport & Remedial Massage Therapy. To
do this he must raise money to cover the considerable cost of
training the students, maintaining the clinic and flights to
Kathmandu.
Blind
people in Nepal need vocational opportunities that
economically empower them & enable them to generate their
own income & lead dignified, independent lives.
For this to happen attitudes must change and the promotion of
new professions for the blind like massage will be essential.
Your
donations to this cause will be of great assistance in
the
successful excecution of this project. Thank You. More...
