years three peaks challenge was the usual combination of pre
work study groups to prepair us for the day, non-stop endless
treatments of completely knackered walkers in various states
of depletion, and a fish and chips supper to finish! This
year saw less A&E visits than last but due to the exceptionally
hot weather one or two cases of heat exhastion/dehydration.
A condition that should not be underestimated. As can be seen
from the above picture, the 'legs up the wall' yoga posture,
(viparita karani), can be performed in the field much to the
disbelief of many of my patients! This is an effective way
to drain the legs of wastes and inflamation and can lead into
various safe, comfortable and efficient hamstring stretches.
